In the Rain

I hear your heartbeat in the rhythm of the
raindrops on my skin

The salt and sweet trace gentle patterns
down my lonely face again.

No one sees, no one knows, and my tears never show

If I was stronger I might never show the pain

That’s why I only think about you in the rain

My footsteps echo in the darkness
like you’re walking by my side

The rain drums on my skull like dirges
for a deathless love that died

No one sees, no one knows, and my tears never show

If I was stronger I might never show the pain

That’s why I only think about you in the

Rain, rain, go away, don’t come again till I can say goodbye

I  hear your heartbeat in the rhythm
of the raindrops on my skin

The salt and sweet trace gentle patterns
down my lonely face again.

No one sees, no one knows, and my tears never show

If I was stronger I might never show the pain

That’s why I only think about you in  the rain
